At Trafalgar Releasing, we are fully committed to combating modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms. We uphold the principles of dignity, freedom, and fairness for all people and take seriously our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity across our operations and supply chains.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take various forms, including forced labour, debt bondage, servitude, and human trafficking. We recognise that the Arts sector, like many others, is not immune to these risks, particularly where freelance, casual, or subcontracted work is common.
· All employees, including permanent, temporary, freelance, and casual workers.
· Volunteers, interns, and trainees.
· Contractors, suppliers, and any individuals or organisations working on behalf of Trafalgar Releasing.
What We’re Doing
To prevent modern slavery and ensure transparency in our operations, we:
· Conduct due diligence on suppliers and partners, especially those involved in goods or services used in productions, exhibitions, or events.
· Require contractors and third-party providers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
· Monitor areas of risk, such as outsourced fabrication, set/costume construction, touring arrangements, and global supply chains.
· Provide training and resources for staff to help them recognise signs of exploitation and understand how to report concerns.
Raising Concerns
We encourage anyone who works with or for Trafalgar Releasing to speak up if they suspect that someone is at risk of or experiencing modern slavery. Concerns can be raised in confidence through:
· A manager or senior staff member · Our People Team: [email protected]
We will always treat reports seriously and take appropriate action.
Continuous Improvement
We are committed to reviewing and improving our practices. This policy is reviewed regularly and updated as needed to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness.
